In this tutorial we'll see how to install mods and modpacks on Holy Hosting, your trusted hosting provider for Minecraft. Understanding the different types of software and how each one handles mods is key.
Fabric Installation
Select the Version:
Go to the versions section in your control panel and search for the "Fabric" version.

Select the version you want to use (for example, 1.18.2).
Make sure to change the Java version according to the Fabric version you choose.
Start the server and you'll have Fabric installed.
Manual Installation:
If the version or software you're looking for isn't in the panel, download it in .jar format from the internet.
Upload the .jar file to the server folder and rename it to `server.jar` so the console detects it.
Change the Java version if necessary (for example, Java 17) and start the server.
Forge Installation
Select the Version:
Search for the "Forge" category and select the desired version.
Click on "install" and wait for the installation to complete.
Change the Java version if necessary.
Start the Server:
Accept the EULA if necessary.
Verify that the `mods` and `config` folders have been created.
Mod Installation
Upload the Mods:
Drag the mod files to the `mods` folder on the server.

If the mods are compressed, extract the files inside the `mods`.
Common Errors:
If the server crashes, verify that you're not using "client-side" mods. These mods should only be on the player's client, not on the server.
Modpack Installation
Prepare the Server:
Delete all server files to avoid incompatibilities.

Download the modpack from the dedicated section.

Start the Server:
Start the server from the console and wait for the modpack to install.
