ClearLagg: A Complete Guide to Keeping Your Minecraft Server Lag-Free
One of the biggest concerns for server owners is lag. Lag can be caused by many factors, whether it’s from what players build, collect, and mine on your server, or from the hardware running it. However, if you host with Holy Hosting, hardware shouldn’t be an issue. Certain Spigot plugins can help reduce lag caused by resources or players. ClearLagg is one of the most common plugins for any type of Minecraft server. Essentially, it allows you to remove problematic entities that may exist on your server. For example, if someone drops thousands of items in a single chunk, it can cause severe lag. This plugin removes dropped entities, ensuring your server runs smoothly.

Requirements
ClearLagg requires your server to run a Paper or Spigot jar (Paper is recommended) to load the plugin.
How to Install ClearLagg
Make sure your server is running Paper or Spigot. You can verify this in the jar file dropdown menu in your game panel.
Search for "ClearLagg" in the Plugins List, navigate to it, and open the download page. At the bottom, verify that the selected version matches your server version, cross-checking with the official Bukkit or Spigot pages if needed. Select the correct version from the dropdown and install it.
After installation, restart your server through the game panel. To confirm the plugin is working correctly, type pl in the console to see if ClearLagg appears in the active plugins list.

Commands
/lagg clear: Removes all entities on the ground.
/lagg check: Counts all entities in the world.
/lagg reload: Reloads the schedulers/configuration file.
/lagg killmobs: Kills all creatures in the world.
/lagg area <radius>: Removes entities within a given radius.
/lagg chunk: Identifies the largest chunks.
/lagg admin: Lists admin commands.
/lagg tps: Shows the server's current TPS.
/lagg halt: Disables core server functions, such as mob spawning.
/lagg: Lists all ClearLagg commands.
Configuration File
If you make changes, make sure to stop your server first, then save the file before restarting. You can access your ClearLagg configuration through the Config tab in the panel. Most options are disabled by default, and any line starting with # is also inactive.

Broadcast Message
A common configuration change is the broadcast message. To modify or disable it, scroll to the "auto-removal" section in the configuration file. Here you’ll find broadcast-message and warnings, both of which can be customized. Make sure to follow the formatting provided.
Entities
You may also want to adjust which entities are removed during lag cleanup. In the configuration, locate the auto-removal: section. Below it, entities are listed with true or false values. You can enable or disable each entity as desired. For example, to prevent minecarts from being removed, change minecart: true to minecart: false.
A detailed configuration guide is available for more advanced setup.
