If you are experiencing lag on your server, there are several optimizations you can perform to improve performance. One useful plugin you can use is ClearLag, which is specifically designed to reduce lag.

ClearLag is a plugin for Spigot/Bukkit designed to prevent lag on your server by implementing various optimization features. For example, ClearLag can periodically remove items from the ground, limit mob spawning, and much more.

This guide will provide you with instructions on how to install and configure this useful plugin.

Install ClearLag on your server:

  1. Stop your server by pressing the red "Stop" button on the Multicraft main page.
  2. Go to Files > Plugin List.
  3. Change the source to Spigot and enter "Clearlagg" in the search box (note the double "G"). Select the first result.
  4. Press "Install".
  5. Start your server using the green "Start" button on the Multicraft main page.

The plugin is now properly installed!

Configure ClearLag on your server:

ClearLag starts working on your server immediately and should make a noticeable difference with very little configuration. However, there are some configurations you may want to adjust.

However, ClearLag is extremely configurable, and you can adjust almost every parameter to your liking.

To access and edit the ClearLag configuration file, follow these steps:

  1. Stop your server by pressing the red "Stop" button on the Multicraft main page.
  2. Go to Files > Config Files.
  3. Select the ClearLag config.yml file.

From this page, you can edit the server's configuration according to your personal needs. As you can see, you can adjust several settings such as item cleanup intervals, mob spawn limits, and more.

That is how you install and configure ClearLag – now you can enjoy playing on your server with better performance.
