How to install a plugin to change skins on your Minecraft server

Hello, in the following guide we will explain how to install a plugin to change your skin in-game, using just a command!

Download the plugin To download the plugin, go to the following link: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/bukkit-plugins/changeskin Then select the version and click to download it.

Installing the plugin To install the plugin, go to our server panel, then to the "Files" section and enter the "plugins" folder. There we will upload the .jar file we just downloaded.

Then, start the server. This will generate the folder with the plugin configuration. Useful commands and permissions Commands

  • /setskin <uuid> - Sets the player's skin according to their uuid.
  • /setskin <Player name> Sets the skin according to a player's Minecraft name.
  • /skinupdate - Reloads the skin you currently have applied.

Permissions (In case you use plugins like LuckPerms)

  • changeskin.command.skinupdate - Allows the user to update their own skin.
  • changeskin.command.setskin.* - Enables the user to use the following commands:
  • changeskin.command.setskin - Changes your own skin.
  • changeskin.command.setskin.other - Change other players' skins.
