Hi! In this guide, we’ll walk you step by step through setting up a brand-new Minecraft server. Whether you’ve just acquired one or want to completely reset your current server, we’ll guide you through the entire process so you can do it efficiently and hassle-free.

Access the Server Panel 📺
First, log in to your server’s panel. Then, go to the “Files” section in the menu on the left.
Once inside, check the box as indicated and delete all existing files.

Installing a New Version 🤖
Once all the server files have been deleted, it’s time to install a new version. To do this, go to the menu on the left, find the “Versions” section, and enter it.

Here, select the version you want. Once you find it, click the “Install” button, and the server.jar file for the chosen version will start downloading.
(For some versions, an extra step is required, which we’ll cover next.)
Reinstalling the Server ♻️
In some cases, it’s necessary to reinstall the server. To do this, go to the menu on the left side of the panel, select “Settings”, then click the “Reinstall Server” button as shown in the image below.

Wait for the installation to complete, then start the server.
When the server starts, accept the EULA 📜 and wait for the server setup to finish, including world generation and other processes.

All set! You now know how to reset a server from scratch with any Minecraft version you want.
