Hello! Here’s a simple guide on how to assign permissions to your server’s start.sh file in case you encounter the following error:
/start.sh: Permission denied
Whether you’re installing a modpack or a pre-made server that requires starting with a custom start.sh, you’ll need to grant it the proper permissions for the server to launch. To do this, follow these steps:
Access the Server Control Panel
Start by logging into your server panel and navigating to the “Files” section. There, locate the start.sh file, click the three dots as shown in the image, and select “Permissions.”

There, you need to enter the value “777” so that the server can start properly.

Enter the value and click Update, then start the server. With this setting, the start.sh file will run with the necessary permissions.
(Remember to have the following flags enabled to run the file)
