How to Fix the “Connection Timed Out” Error on a Minecraft Server

How to Fix the “Connection Timed Out” Error ⏰

Direct Connection:

• Log in to your HolyHosting server panel and click on your server.

• Locate the IP Address and/or Subdomain section.

• Copy the address and open Minecraft. Go to Multiplayer.

• Click Direct Connect and paste the address into the Server Address field. Try both addresses.
  

⚠️ Common Issue ⚠️: Sometimes the copied address may contain extra spaces. Make sure to copy it correctly.

Restarting Your Minecraft Server

• Go to your server panel and select your server.

• Click Restart and wait for it to fully load. Confirm it’s fully loaded by looking for the “Full Startup” message in the console.

• Once loaded, join the server.

⚠️ Common Issue ⚠️: Some players forget to confirm the server has fully started before trying to join. Patience! 😉

Solutions with Mods

Forge 1.8 – 1.16.5 ⚙️

• Download the RandomPatches mod for Forge and make sure the version matches your server.

• Install the mod on your server via the HolyHosting panel.

• Restart the server and wait for it to load completely.

• Upload the same mod to the local mods folder of your launcher.

Fabric 1.15.2 – 1.16.5 ⚙️

• Go to the RandomPatches download page for Fabric and download the version matching your server.

• Install the mod on your server via the panel.

• Start the server and wait for it to finish loading.

• Upload the same mod to your local Fabric mods folder.
