Hey Minecraft players! 🎮🌍
Ready to enjoy a private experience with your friends on your Minecraft server? We all know there’s nothing worse than building your dream world only to have an unexpected griefer show up — but don’t worry! Today we’re bringing you a super simple guide to enable the Whitelist on your server and keep those unwanted visitors out of your kingdom. 🏰🚫
What Is the Whitelist?
The Whitelist is a feature that lets you create a private Minecraft server where only players you approve can join. It’s perfect if you want a space just for your friends, family, or that epic game session without worrying about random players joining without permission.

How to Enable the Whitelist in the Java Edition 🍵
Open your server panel and go to the console 📺.
Type whitelist on and press Enter. Your server is now protected!
If you ever want to disable it, simply type whitelist off in the console.

Add your friends with the command whitelist add [player_name].
To remove a player from the whitelist, simply type whitelist remove [player_name].

⚠️ Remember: You don’t need to add users with OP status to the whitelist.
How to See Which Players Are on the Whitelist 📜
To check which players are on your server’s whitelist:
Open your server panel.
Go to the Files section.
Find and click on the whitelist.json file — there you can see all the players currently on your server’s whitelist.

Basic Whitelist Commands In-Game
Here are the main commands you can use directly in-game:
/whitelist on | Enables the whitelist. |
/whitelist off | Disables the whitelist. |
/whitelist add [player_name] | Adds a player to the whitelist. |
/whitelist remove [player_name] | Removes a player from the whitelist. |
/whitelist list | Shows all players currently on the whitelist. |
/whitelist reload | Reloads the whitelist file without restarting the server. |
