How to Craft and Use the Laser Collector in Abiotic Factor

Abiotic Factor·August 5, 2025·9 min read

Laser weapons and tools are powerful in Abiotic Factor, but they are only useful while they have energy. The Laser Collector solves that problem by acting as a portable charging station, provided it has access to power.

What the Laser Collector Does

The Laser Collector is a deployable object that works like the Charging Stations found around the map. Its advantage is portability. Players can package it, move it, and redeploy it in different locations as long as a power source is available nearby.

Once powered, the Laser Collector can recharge items that use laser energy, including the Deatomizer and Laser Katana. Some players previously encountered an issue where it would not charge items correctly, but that problem should be fixed as of Hotfix v1.0.0.20513.

Laser Collector Crafting Recipe

Craft the Laser Collector at a Crafting Bench with:

  • 2x Photon Receptor
  • 2x Projection Matrix
  • 1x Memory Brick
  • 1x Night Essence

Photon Receptors are found in the Hydroplant, specifically on the walls of the Neutrino Detector. A Projection Matrix is crafted with 1x Anteverse Gem, 1x Optic Lens, 2x Stapler, and 2x Liquid Crystal.

To make a Memory Brick, combine 3x Case Fan, 2x Military Electronics, 1x Projection Matrix, and 1x Jailbroken CPU at the Crafting Bench. Night Essence comes from exposing a Reaper to X-rays before defeating it.

How to Power and Use It

The Laser Collector needs power before it can recharge equipment. One option is a Laser Emitter, crafted with 1x Photon Receptor, 1x Projection Matrix, and 1x Energy Brick.

An Energy Brick requires 1x Power Supply Unit, 1x Circuit Board, 1x Tech Scrap, and 1x Case Fan at the Crafting Bench. Place the Laser Emitter near the Laser Collector, then equip the item that needs energy in the hotbar. Select the item, hold it, and interact with the Laser Collector to recharge it.

A full Laser Collector battery charge requires 8 minutes and 30 seconds. Adding extra Laser Emitters does not increase that charging speed. Also, as of the Dark Energy Update, redeploying a packaged Laser Collector does not require a Screwdriver.
