Guide: Switch Your Minecraft Server from Java to Bedrock 🧐

If you want to play with friends on console and leave Java Edition behind, this guide teaches you how to convert your server from Java Edition to Bedrock Edition quickly and easily. Get ready to enjoy Minecraft on new platforms and keep sharing adventures with your friends.

It's time to install the Bedrock version on our server, to do so:

  • Go to the "Settings"
  • Look for the "Change Egg" section and select "Vanilla Bedrock"

A tab will appear where you can choose to delete the existing files in case you haven't done so before (Recommended).

Now simply wait for the installation to finish.

We're almost done! Let's:

  • Turn on the server.
  • Enter to verify that everything works correctly.

In case you want to change the version, you need to go to "Startup" and edit the "Bedrock Version" value to the version you want. By default, it will be set to "latest"
