(Note that this is not a tutorial on how to change the server version of Minecraft)

How to Change the Minecraft Java Edition Version
Whether you want to use mods, wait for plugin updates, or simply relive the nostalgia of previous versions, here we show you how to do it without getting lost.
Open the Minecraft Java Edition launcher ๐ฅ.

At the top, go to Installations ๐ ๏ธ.

Press New Installation โ.

Select an icon and a name for your installation ๐ผ๏ธ.

Open the dropdown menu for Version and choose the one you want ๐.

Once configured, press Create ๐.
Done! Now you can see your new installation in the Installations tab. To start playing, just hover over your installation and press Play ๐ฎ.

Sometimes you'll want to edit or manage your installations. Here's how:
