Hey, HolyHosting community! 🎮👋
Today, we’re going to talk about how to add a resource pack to your Minecraft server. We know you want your server to look amazing, so here’s a simple guide to help you make it happen.
Find a Resource Pack
Choose a pack from an official site like CurseForge. 🌟

Tip: Always make sure the pack is compatible with the version of Minecraft you’re using.
Then, download the pack. 📂

Uploading the Resource Pack with MCPacks
Visit the MCPacks website. 🌐 Your best friend for this!

Click "Choose File" 📁 and select your resource pack file.
Then, use the "Upload" button to process the pack. ⏳

Once the resource pack is uploaded, make sure to note the download URL and the SHA-1 hash, as we’ll need them later.

Preparing the Server with MCPacks
Go to your HolyHosting server panel and stop the server. 🛑
Then, go to Files and open the server.properties file.

On the resource-pack line, paste the URL you saved earlier—remember that one?

It should look like this:

Next, find the resource-pack-sha1 line and paste the SHA-1 hash:

It should look like this:

(Optional): You can set it so that players must use the resource pack to join the server. If you want this option, find the line require-resource-pack=false and change it to true. It should look like this:

Save the changes and start the server.
Inside Minecraft
Go to Multiplayer and find your server.

As you can see, we successfully uploaded the resource pack and configured it to be mandatory for download.

Click "Proceed" to start downloading the resource pack.
Once inside the server, go to Resource Packs to check that it downloaded correctly.

Note: Some resource packs require additional mods, like OptiFine, to work properly.
And that’s it! 🎉 Now you know how to upload a resource pack to your server, and you’ve also learned how to make its download mandatory!
