What Big Dig is about

Big Dig is a modpack from the Technicpack team built around abundant resources and heavy industry. World generation produces oversized ore veins at a much higher frequency than vanilla Minecraft, so collecting materials stops being a chore and turns into the warm up for whatever you actually want to build. Around 64 mods sit on top of that to give you something worth doing with the stockpile.

Who it fits

The pack works best with small to medium groups. A handful of friends will get along fine, but large public servers are not the right audience for this one.

What you can do inside

• Ride a chocobo across the map.
• Smelt full stacks of ore through industrial machinery.
• Build factories that scale from simple production lines to full missile assemblies.
• Use Voltz style explosives with more depth than the original pack.

Some players call the easy smelting and oversized veins cheating, and they are mostly right. That is part of the appeal.

A warning about missiles

Because the pack ships with serious warhead crafting, large communities are a bad fit. Griefing risk climbs fast once players figure out the recipes. Keep the roster trusted and the pack rewards experimentation more than almost any other tech focused option.
