Five Unique Minecraft Servers to Try Next

Minecraft·October 10, 2022·7 min read

Minecraft has more public servers than anyone can reasonably count, and some of the most interesting ones are easy to miss. From Runescape recreated in blocks to GTA-style chaos inside Minecraft, these servers offer very different reasons to log in.

Minescape

IP: play.gameslabs.net

Minescape recreates the feel of Runescape inside Minecraft. Players can level skills, complete quests, fight monsters, and work toward progression in a world that feels like Old School Runescape wearing a blocky disguise.

It is a strong pick for players who like MMO structure but still want Minecraft's familiar controls and visuals.

MCC Island

IP: play.mccisland.net

MCC Island brings minigames inspired by the Minecraft Championship to a public server. It has been in beta, but the available content already shows a high level of polish.

Players can queue into competitive minigames with matchmaking, cosmetics, and progression systems. For fans of MCC, it is one of the closest ways to experience that style of play firsthand.

Minecraft Middle Earth

IP: build.mcmiddleearth.com

Minecraft Middle Earth is for builders and Lord of the Rings fans who appreciate extremely ambitious projects. The server's goal is to recreate all of Middle Earth in Minecraft.

The long-term plan is for players to be able to follow the same journey from the books and films. Even without that final goal completed, the scale of the building project makes it worth seeing.

Grand Theft Minecraft

IP: gtm.network

Grand Theft Minecraft answers the question of what happens when GTA Online is rebuilt in Minecraft. The result is a server focused on vehicles, crime, weapons, and action rather than the usual tree-punching start.

If standard survival feels too quiet, this is a louder option. Sometimes the next Minecraft objective is not a diamond pickaxe, but a bank job on four expensive wheels.

Hypixel

IP: mc.hypixel.net

Hypixel remains one of the biggest names in Minecraft servers and is still one of the best places to find polished minigames. Its range of modes, active player base, and long-running development make it an easy recommendation.

The team behind Hypixel is also known for working on Hytale under Riot Studios, but Hypixel itself continues to be a dependable choice for a night of Minecraft multiplayer.

Where to Join First

These five Minecraft servers cover a wide range of styles: MMO progression, tournament-style minigames, massive building, GTA-inspired action, and classic minigame variety. Pick the one that fits the mood, copy the IP, and see where the next login leads.
