Demolishers are one of the biggest threats on Vulcanus in Factorio: Space Age. These huge segmented creatures roam volcanic territory, spit out dangerous fire pillars, and must be killed before players can safely claim certain areas.

Demolishers are easy to recognize because they look like massive worms. Fighting one without preparation is a good way to donate equipment to the lava planet. The goal is to bring enough damage, keep moving, and avoid the fire pillars they summon.

This method works, but it requires careful movement. Enter a Demolisher’s territory, place several Gun Turrets and Land Mines, then attack the creature to pull its attention. Keep your distance and lure it through the prepared kill zone.
Land Mines received additional damage in Update 0.15.0, making them useful for this setup. The turrets add steady damage while the mines do the heavy work when the Demolisher moves over them.
Avoid the fire pillars at all costs. They can deal serious damage and turn a clever trap into a very short field trip.

Defender Capsules are especially useful on a multiplayer Factorio server. Each capsule spawns a Defender Robot with infinite ammo that attacks nearby enemies.
The plan is simple: bring friends, have every player summon at least 30x Defender Robots, then stay near the Demolisher while the swarm does the work. With enough robots, the creature can drop in seconds.
