Best Mining Pals in Palworld: Ranked Tier List for Ore and Base Work

Palworld·December 22, 2025·16 min read

The best Mining Pals in Palworld are not decided by Work Suitability alone. Mining level matters, but Partner Skills, Transporting, food needs, size, and whether a Pal works well without being mounted can all change how useful it feels in an actual base.

Use this tier list as a practical guide, not a law carved into Ore. Different players need different miners depending on whether the goal is hands-on gathering, passive base automation, or a worker that can also defend the place.

Palworld Mining Pal Tier List

The Pals below are ranked by overall Mining value, including efficiency, availability, automation potential, and extra utility.

10. Menasting

Menasting earns a place on this list thanks to Mining Lv. 3, which lets it harvest Ore and other mineral nodes efficiently. It also has one of the higher base defense stats in Palworld, so it can take punishment better than many workers.

The downside is its Partner Skill, Steel Scorpion, does not directly improve Mining. Menasting is a strong and durable worker, but it lacks the specialized mining tricks that push other Pals higher.

9. Warsect Terra

Warsect Terra also brings Mining Lv. 3, but it adds Transporting Lv. 3 as an extra benefit. That combination is useful because Ore is heavy, and a miner that can help move resources keeps the base cleaner and more productive.

Its high defense also makes it valuable during base attacks. Still, Warsect Terra falls behind Pals with higher Mining levels or stronger mining-focused Partner Skills.

8. Reptyro

Reptyro is a strong Mining specialist, especially when the player is actively using it. Its Partner Skill improves Mining efficiency while mounted, making it good for hands-on Ore farming.

That same condition is also the drawback. Reptyro is less impressive for automation because you need to ride it to get the best value from its ore-gathering ability.

7. Reptyro Cryst

Reptyro Cryst is the Ice/Ground version of Reptyro and shares the same Mining Lv. 3 Work Suitability and mining-related Partner Skill. It can gather Ore and other minerals effectively when used correctly.

Its Cooling Work Suitability can sometimes pull it away from Mining tasks at a base. That extra role is not bad, but it may make Reptyro Cryst less consistent if you want it focused only on mineral nodes.

6. Cryolinx Terra

Cryolinx Terra offers Mining Lv. 3 and an equally strong Transporting Work Suitability. That makes it valuable for bases where resources need to be gathered and moved without constant player attention.

The tradeoff is food demand. Cryolinx Terra can spend more time stopping to eat, which cuts into its work rhythm. It is efficient, but its appetite can make the base kitchen feel like part of the mining operation.

5. Knocklem

Knocklem reaches Mining Lv. 4, putting it among the strongest raw mining workers in Palworld. For gathering minerals at a base, that maximum Mining level is a major advantage.

Its Partner Skill, Steel Guardian Mode, is more combat-focused and helps it act as a frontline defender. That is useful outside pure resource gathering, but it does not directly increase Mining efficiency.

4. Astegon

Astegon also has Mining Lv. 4, and its Partner Skill, Black Ankylosaur, can improve Mining efficiency further while mounted. For active Ore gathering, that makes Astegon extremely powerful.

The limitation is automation. Like Reptyro and Reptyro Cryst, Astegon performs best when the player is riding it, so it is not always the most hands-off base worker despite its excellent Mining level.

3. Blazamut Ryu

Blazamut Ryu combines serious combat power with Mining Lv. 4, giving it top-tier extraction ability at the base. It can gather Ore efficiently while also bringing major battle value.

Its Partner Skill, Dragon Kaiser, boosts Dragon attacks while mounted, making it especially dangerous against Dark-type Pals. The problem is access. Blazamut Ryu is obtained by defeating a punishing level 55 raid boss, and its large body can make base movement awkward.

2. Blazamut

Blazamut shares the same maximum Mining level as Blazamut Ryu, but it is generally easier to obtain. Players can find Blazamut as an Alpha Boss in the volcanic region west of the Palpagos Islands.

It also has Kindling Lv. 3, giving it extra base utility beyond Mining. That combination makes Blazamut a strong workhorse for players who want a powerful miner without needing the raid boss variant first.

1. Digtoise

Digtoise is the best overall Mining Pal in Palworld. Its Work Suitability is one level below the maximum, but its unique Partner Skill, Drill Crusher, gives it a special mining animation that destroys Ore nodes in seconds.

That speed makes Digtoise exceptional at the right Ore locations, especially where deposits are close together. For practical Mining output, it often beats Pals that look stronger on paper. Sometimes the turtle with the drill wins. Palworld is not pretending to be normal.
