American Truck Simulator is not only about driving a truck from one place to another. It also includes route planning, money management, vehicle upgrades, business growth, and the occasional moment of admiring the scenery instead of missing a turn.
A dedicated server gives Convoy players a shared place to drive together, complete deliveries, and keep multiplayer sessions organized. It is especially useful for groups that want a consistent setup instead of relying on whoever happens to host locally that night.

Developed by SCS Software, the studio behind Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator launched in February 2016 as a truck-driving simulator built around open roads, cargo jobs, and trucking business progression.
American Truck Simulator recreates landscapes inspired by regions across the United States. Players can drive through cities, highways, countryside roads, and recognizable landmarks while hauling freight across long routes.
The game also puts players in charge of a growing trucking company. Money earned from jobs can be used to buy trucks, expand a fleet, manage finances, and take on more profitable contracts over time.
Trucks include handling, gear changes, engine audio, and customization options. Players can tune and decorate vehicles with accessories, paint, upgrades, and interior items.
The world changes as time passes, with day and night cycles plus weather conditions. Sunny roads, stormy nights, and low visibility can all affect the feel of a route.
Convoy mode allows online driving with friends. Up to seven other players can join, making it possible to complete deliveries together or simply share the road. For regular groups, having the session ready and configured helps keep the focus on routes, cargo, and avoiding suspiciously expensive repair bills.
