Power Leeches are one of Abiotic Factor's more irritating facility problems. During a Rolling Blackout event, these floating parasites interfere with power sources, forcing players to hunt them down if they want electricity restored.

The Power Leech is officially known as IS-0211. It was introduced with Update 1.0 as part of the Rolling Blackout Weather Event. The entity attaches itself to power sources, including batteries and sockets, and causes electrical disruption throughout the facility.
Do not treat it as harmless scenery. The lightning it emits can be awkward to dodge and will chip away at health if players linger too close. Defeating Power Leeches, and eventually their giant variant, is required to clear the Rolling Blackout.

Regular Power Leeches are usually handled with a Portal Suppression Field. This is a Tier 2 recipe that requires Crafting Level 5. Its recipe includes:
After enough Power Leeches are killed, the Giant Power Leech can appear. Unlike the smaller version, this larger target can be damaged directly with weapons. Strong choices include the Grinder and Energy Pistol. A Security Pistol can also work, but expect to spend roughly 20 to 50 bullets before it finally drops.
Regular and Giant Power Leeches share the same loot table. The possible drops change slightly depending on story progression.
