Abiotic Factor Pest Wheel Guide: Recipe, Materials, and Power Uses

The Pest Wheel is one of Abiotic Factor's stranger deployables, which is saying something in a facility where office supplies regularly become survival tools. It can provide temporary power with the right creature inside, and as of Version 1.1, it also has a use in another crafting recipe.

Pest Wheel Crafting Recipe

Craft the Pest Wheel at a Crafting Bench with these materials:

• 1x Power Cell
• 1x Pest Trap
• 8x Metal Scrap

The ingredients are not especially rare. Power Cells can be farmed around Manufacturing West, especially in the Shipping and Mapping Center areas. They can also appear in Flathill, the Office Sector, and Cascade Laboratories.

For the Pest Trap, craft it at the Crafting Bench with:

• 1x Stapler
• 1x Nachos
• 2x Duct Tape

Metal Scrap is the easiest part of the recipe. It appears throughout the facility and can come from several sources, including Security Bots and The Blacksmith.

What the Pest Wheel Does

A Pest Wheel can generate temporary power for connected objects, but it needs a captured and tamed creature before it works. Valid options include the standard Pest, Electro-Pest, Volatile Pest, Snow Pest, and Skink.

The Pest Wheel is also part of the Exercise Bike recipe in Abiotic Factor Version 1.1. To craft an Exercise Bike, combine:

• 1x Pest Wheel
• 1x Chain
• 1x Air Compressor
• 4x Metal Pipe or 4x Hydro Pipe

Once placed, the Exercise Bike lets players train Sprinting without running laps around the map like a stressed intern. It can also create usable power for devices such as a Portable Stove.
