Counter-Strike 2 rewards clean aim, good timing, and knowing which key does what before the round turns into expensive chaos. The default mouse and keyboard layout is familiar if you have played other PC shooters, but CS2 includes enough extra weapon, communication, and utility controls that a quick reference helps.

The controls below use the standard Counter-Strike 2 keyboard and mouse bindings. Some actions are not assigned to a key by default, which is normal. If a bind feels awkward, change it before building muscle memory around a layout you dislike.
To change a keybind in CS2:
Counter-Strike 2 does not include official controller support. Mods can make controller play possible, but a controller has fewer convenient buttons for CS2's full control set. That tradeoff matters in a game where one missed utility bind can make a round very educational.
For practice, Steam Workshop maps are useful. Aim trainers, movement maps, grenade lineups, and navigation drills let you learn controls without donating rifles to the enemy team every minute.
If you are new to CS2, focus first on movement, weapon switching, reload, use, voice chat, and grenade selection. The rest can wait until your fingers stop opening the buy menu at the worst possible time.
