Voyagers of Nera Coralwood Guide: Where to Farm It and What to Craft

Other Games·October 2, 2025·9 min read

Stronger weapons in Voyagers of Nera run on Coralwood, but the game does not exactly hand it to you. The material is locked inside a region you cannot reach at the start, and most of the harvesting spots demand a tool you cannot build without Coralwood in the first place. This guide covers the one accessible patch, the recipes it unlocks, and the workaround that gets your first stack moving.

Where Coralwood Grows

Your starting region, The Expanse, will not give you a single piece. Coralwood only appears in the second area, The Reef, where the islands trade flat ground for steep verticality. The orange, tree-like growths are visible the moment you arrive, climbing the upper platforms scattered across the region.

Most of those platforms are only reachable by Glider, riding the geothermal vents that hiss out of The Reef. Elegant design, except for one detail: a Glider needs Coralwood to craft. The game effectively asks you to build a tool out of something you cannot reach without that tool.

The One Spot You Can Reach on Foot

There is exactly one way around the loop, and it lives on the first island you land on in The Reef: Coral Landing. This is also where you find the region's Respawn Shrine, which is going to matter the first time something hits you harder than expected.

On the northern side of Coral Landing, look for a large circular stone archway. Walking through it puts you on a long ramp that spirals up to the top of the island. A small grove of Coralwood waits at the summit, and you do not need a Glider to get there.

What you do need is a Sharpstone Axe in your inventory and the willingness to sprint past whatever is patrolling the path. Enemies along the ramp sit around level 10 and will shred unprepared players, but they are also lazy. As long as your stamina holds, you can run straight past them and reach the trees untouched. Once you are up there, chop away. Coralwood is heavy but lighter than sharpstone, so a single trip usually yields enough material for a productive crafting session.

Shaped Coralwood and What It Unlocks

Raw Coralwood is not what recipes actually consume. Every Coralwood crafting line first requires Shaped Coralwood, processed at a Woodworking Station. That station unlocks at Knowledge Tree level 9, and the exchange is generous: 2 raw Coralwood yields 1 Shaped Coralwood.

Once you have a stockpile, the following recipes open up:

  • Glider: 2x Wind Strand, 5x Rope, 10x Cloth, 20x Shaped Coralwood
  • Coralwood Bow: 2x Plant Wax, 10x Twine, 20x Shaped Coralwood
  • Tidemetal Arrow: 1x Shaped Coralwood, 1x Tidemetal Ingot
  • Tidemetal Trident: 1x Mana Powder, 2x Rough Leather, 8x Shaped Coralwood, 8x Tidemetal Ingot
  • Tidemetal Blade: 6x Tidemetal Ingot, 8x Shaped Coralwood
  • Tidemetal Shield: 1x Rough Leather, 3x Shaped Coralwood, 8x Tidemetal Ingot
  • Tidemetal Axe: 2x Rough Leather, 5x Tidemetal Ingot, 8x Shaped Coralwood
  • Tidemetal Pickaxe: 2x Rough Leather, 5x Tidemetal Ingot, 8x Shaped Coralwood

Beyond weaponry, Coralwood also feeds into the Building system for furniture and structural pieces, so any leftover stacks rarely go to waste.
