The Dwarves are back in the deep places of the earth, and so is the server lineup at HolyHosting. The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria has joined the roster, which means your party can drag picks and torches into the dark together on stable, dedicated hardware.
Rebuilding an ancient kingdom is already hard work. Doing it on a laggy server is harder. HolyHosting can only really help with one of those problems.

Return to Moria is a survival and crafting title set during the Fourth Age of Middle-earth, after the events that reopened the gates of Khazad-dum to the world above. You step into the boots of a Dwarf tasked with reclaiming the lost kingdom under the Misty Mountains, one cavern at a time.
The game blends Tolkien lore with layered crafting systems and a strong cooperative loop. Here is what makes it tick, and why it scales well on a dedicated host.
Moria might be liberated, but it is far from safe. Hunger, cold, and exhaustion are real threats, and so are the things still hiding in the shadows. Scavenging food, lighting torches, and resting at campsites are part of the daily routine, right alongside fending off whatever stirs in the deeper tunnels.
The longer your sessions run, the more important persistent state becomes. A 24/7 server keeps fires lit and stockpiles intact while the party logs off for the night.
Reconstruction is the backbone of the game. Raw materials get turned into grand halls, forges, and workshops, with enough customization options to keep one base from looking like the next. Functional or decorative, the choice belongs to whoever holds the hammer.
Bases also double as safe rooms. Store gear, smith weapons, recover stamina, and plan the next descent. With friends on the same server, every session picks up exactly where the last one ended. That is the entire point of running dedicated hardware instead of relying on a host player who might be away.
Mining is the heartbeat of any Dwarven story. Ore, gemstones, and rare materials come out of the rock and get turned into tools, armor, and weapons at the right workstations.
Just remember that strong picks make loud noises, and Moria listens. Dig greedily and dig deep, and the older residents tend to notice.
The narrative ties into Tolkien's world without leaning on fan service. Players uncover lost histories, solve Dwarven riddles, and chase quests that restore the kingdom's former wonders. Journals, carvings, and environmental storytelling fill in the gaps for anyone who likes reading between the stones rather than skipping cutscenes.
Fights against orcs, trolls, and other unpleasantness use both melee and ranged options. Solo play is possible, but the combat system clearly rewards teams. Hordes feel manageable when one player tanks, another flanks, and a third hangs back with a bow.
The caves are procedurally generated, so no two campaigns share the same map. Biomes range from crystalline caverns to lava-streaked chasms, each carrying its own resources and threats. A persistent server lets a group keep mapping the same world over weeks of play instead of starting fresh every time.
Each Return to Moria server supports up to eight players. That cap encourages tight, organized parties rather than chaotic crowds. Roles tend to settle in fast: someone builds, someone fights, someone keeps the food and torches stocked. The game has a solo mode, but it really shines as a shared run.
