The Isle Admin Panel: Complete Console Commands Reference

Other Games·March 18, 2024·7 min read

Surviving The Isle is hard enough when you are a dinosaur with limited vision and questionable life choices. Running a server adds another layer of chaos. Fortunately, the game ships with a built-in admin console that lets server hosts step in when a session gets out of hand.

This reference covers how to open the admin panel, every available console command, and a few small details that trip up new admins.

Opening the Admin Panel

By default, pressing Enter opens the chat window, which doubles as the command console. On the Evrima branch, you usually have to type /adminpanel first before the admin set unlocks. If that fails, hit the Insert key instead. One of the two will work depending on your build.

Keep in mind that these commands only respond when your account is flagged as a server administrator. Regular players will get nothing back, no matter how creative their attempts get.

Console Command List

Below is the working set of admin commands in The Isle. Type them into local chat for the cleanest experience. Global chat technically accepts them, but the output spam tends to bury actual conversation.

  • /announce: broadcast a message to everyone on the server.
  • /kick [player or Steam ID] [reason]: removes a player from the session.
  • /ban [player or Steam ID] [hours] [reason]: temporary ban for a defined duration.
  • /unban [Steam ID]: lifts a previous ban.
  • /grow [player]: pushes the target to the next growth stage. Handy for testing or rewarding hatchlings.
  • /heal [player]: restores hunger, thirst, and mends broken legs.
  • /slay [player]: kills the targeted player on the spot.
  • /goto [player]: teleports you to a player's position.
  • /bring [player]: pulls a player to your current position.
  • /time [hour]: sets the in-game clock.
  • /weather [condition]: changes the current weather. Example: `/weather storm`.
  • \\ (backslash key): toggles spectator mode.

Notice that you skip the square brackets when running these. They mark which argument goes where, not the actual syntax. So `/kick Bob trolling` works, while `/kick [Bob] [trolling]` will confuse the parser.
