A standard Terraria server does not allow PC and mobile players to join the same world together. That is inconvenient when your group is split between platforms, and nobody wants the server invite to turn into a platform debate.
To make PC and mobile crossplay work, the server needs to run TShock and load a crossplay plugin. The process is mostly changing the server version, uploading one plugin file, and restarting cleanly.

After the restart, PC and mobile Terraria clients should be able to connect to the same server.
The ServerPlugins folder is missing
This usually means TShock has not fully started yet. Confirm the server is set to Terraria TShock, restart it, then wait a minute before checking FTP again. If the folder still does not appear, review the console for startup errors. You can also create the `ServerPlugins` folder manually if needed.
Crossplay still does not work
First, confirm the server is still running TShock. Next, check that `Crossplay.dll` is inside `ServerPlugins`, not the root directory or another folder. Restart the server after confirming the file location. If the problem continues, check the Crossplay GitHub page for a newer plugin release that matches your Terraria version.
