Stardew Valley Trinkets: Full List, Effects, and Where to Find Each One

Trinkets arrived with Update 1.6 and quickly became one of the more interesting additions to Pelican Town. They are passive accessories that grant a persistent perk for as long as you wear them. No cooldowns, no charges, just take it off when you no longer want the effect.

Here is everything currently known about them.

Every Trinket and What It Does

There are eight Trinkets in the game so far. Seven of them are loot drops from combat or containers, and one is bought from a vendor.

  • Basilisk Paw: Grants full immunity to debuffs.
  • Fairy Box: Spawns a fairy that heals you periodically.
  • Frog Egg: Spawns a frog that eats nearby enemies.
  • Gold Spur: Briefly increases movement speed after a critical hit.
  • Ice Rod: Fires ice orbs that freeze enemies on a timer.
  • Magic Hair Gel: Cycles your hair through the colors of a Prismatic Shard. Pure flex, no combat value.
  • Magic Quiver: Auto-shoots magic arrows at enemies near you.
  • Parrot Egg: Spawns a parrot that drops bonus gold coins from defeated monsters.

Where to Find Them

The Magic Hair Gel is the odd one out. It is sold by Alex during the Desert Festival in exchange for 100 Calico Eggs, and that is the only way to get it.

The remaining seven can drop from almost any monster in the game, though the rates are low. They can also appear inside barrels and crates scattered around the world.

Your best farming spot is the Skull Cavern. Trinkets show up in the chests inside Treasure Rooms, and the chance of finding one improves the deeper you push into the cavern. Lucky Days, the type of enemy you are fighting, and the area you are exploring all influence drop rates, so plan your runs accordingly.

If you pull a Trinket with stats you do not like, head to the Anvil. Spending 3 Iridium Bars rerolls its stats. The Magic Hair Gel and the Basilisk Paw are excluded from this, since neither has rollable values.

How to Unlock the Trinket Slot

Finding a Trinket is only half the job. To actually equip one, you need to unlock the Trinket slot in your inventory.

  1. Reach Level 10 in all five skills (Farming, Mining, Foraging, Fishing, and Combat).
  2. With every skill maxed, the Mastery Cave becomes accessible.
  3. Earn Mastery Points and spend them on Combat Mastery.

Once Combat Mastery is claimed, the Trinket slot appears on your character sheet and you can start mixing and matching effects to fit your playstyle.
