Spirit's Eve in Stardew Valley: Haunted Maze Routes, Rewards, and Pierre's Shop

Other Games·October 14, 2024·7 min read

Fall 27 in Pelican Town brings a colder breeze and a different kind of party. Spirit's Eve is Stardew Valley's nod to Halloween, complete with a creepy maze, weird prizes, and a one-night-only furniture shop. Here is everything worth knowing before the festival kicks off.

When Spirit's Eve Happens

The event lands on Fall 27 every in-game year, no exceptions. Mayor Lewis sends a letter that morning as a friendly reminder, and the in-game calendar also flags the date. Show up at the Pelican Town entrance between 10:00 PM and 11:50 PM to join in. Miss that window and the gates close until next year.

The Haunted Maze

The headline attraction is the Haunted Maze, built (so the story goes) by M. Rasmodius, otherwise known as the Wizard. The reward at the end depends on which in-game year you are playing in, and the layout itself shifts to match. The Prize Ticket variant was added in Version 1.6, so older saves on legacy patches will only see Golden Pumpkins regardless of the year.

Odd-Numbered Years: Golden Pumpkin Route

Head to the hidden passage under and to the left of the signpost marked with a question mark. From there, take the cave on the right and push north. The corridor swings left and right in the dark, so equipping a Glow Ring or any light accessory saves a few minutes of squinting. At the end sits a chest holding the Golden Pumpkin.

A quick note on the Pumpkin: every villager who accepts gifts considers it a love-tier item, which makes it the most efficient friendship booster you will find that night. Selling it through the Shipping Bin nets 2,500g if you would rather cash out instead.

Even-Numbered Years: Prize Ticket Route

Start the same way, through the passage under and to the left of the question-mark sign. You will run into Sebastian on the path. Walk past him and slip into an unmarked secret passage. Sam and Vincent standing nearby confirm you took the correct turn.

Eventually you hit a fork with three paths. Only the middle one leads to the treasure room and the Prize Ticket. Bring those tickets to the Prize Machine sitting beside Mayor Lewis's house to trade them for rewards.

Pierre's Spooky Stall

Pierre opens a seasonal stand at Spirit's Eve, much like he does during the Feast of the Winter Star. The focus this time is furniture and decor for haunted house enthusiasts:

  • Jack-O-Lantern: 750g
  • Jack-O-Lantern Recipe: 2,000g
  • Rarecrow #2: 5,000g
  • Grave Stone: 350g
  • Funky Rug: 4,000g

One tip worth remembering: crafting the Jack-O-Lantern at least once counts toward the Perfection tracker, so even if the design is not your taste, make it once and stash it somewhere out of sight.
