Feast of the Winter Star in Stardew Valley: Full Event Breakdown

Winter 25 is Stardew Valley's stand-in for Christmas, and the Feast of the Winter Star wraps up every in-game year with a festival in Pelican Town. There's a secret gift exchange that hands out a 5x friendship bonus to whoever drew your name, plus a winter-only shop that opens once a year. Here is everything worth knowing before the day arrives.

When and Where It Happens

The Feast always lands on Winter 25, opens at 9:00 AM in Pelican Town, and ends at 2:00 PM. Once the event closes, your character is teleported back to The Farm at 10:00 PM. You also cannot enter Pelican Town before 9 AM that day, so trying to sneak in early gets you nowhere.

The Secret Gift Exchange

A week before the festival, on Winter 18, Mayor Lewis sends a letter naming the villager you will be giving a gift to. That leaves you seven in-game days to plan something appropriate. The present you hand over during the event awards five times the normal friendship points, which makes this one of the fastest friendship boosts in the game.

You are also on the receiving end. A random villager is assigned as your Secret Santa, and what you walk away with depends on who pulled your name.
