Stardew Valley 1.6 Perfection Guide: The Complete 100% Completion Checklist

Reaching 100% in Stardew Valley 1.6 is the final, slow burn objective of the entire game. The payoff is a new note from Grandpa and the Statue of True Perfection, plus the quiet satisfaction of having outlasted a casual farming sim. This checklist covers every task the game tracks toward perfection, so you can plan around what is left instead of stumbling onto missing items two seasons later.

Where to Check Your Perfection Progress

Your progress lives with Mr. Qi inside the Walnut Room on Ginger Island. Once you have unlocked the island, head west until you find his not so hidden room, then interact with him. He will read out a clean percentage breakdown of what is done and what is still pending.

If you have not unlocked Ginger Island yet, that prerequisite has its own guide. Do that first, since the Walnut Room is the only place to verify your score reliably.

Every Task That Counts Toward 100%

Perfection is split across eleven objectives. Each one is worth a specific slice of the total. You can tackle them in any order:

• +15% Ship at least one of every item listed in the Items Shipped tab of the Collections menu.
• +11% Max out hearts with every villager who accepts gifts and has a friendship level (so Mr. Qi, Morris and the Bouncer do not count). Marriage is not required.
• +10% Buy the Gold Clock and place it on your farm.
• +10% Finish every monster eradication goal at the Adventurer's Guild.
• +10% Collect every Stardrop.
• +10% Cook every recipe at least once.
• +10% Craft every craftable item except the Wedding Ring (in single player).
• +10% Catch every fish in the Collections menu.
• +5% Reach Level 10 in all five skills.
• +5% Collect every Golden Walnut on Ginger Island.
• +4% Build all four Obelisks (Desert, Water, Earth, Island) and place them on the farm.

In multiplayer or on a dedicated Stardew Valley server, perfection progress is shared across the farm. One key difference: the Wedding Ring is required in multiplayer, since players can actually craft and use it on each other.

There is also a paid shortcut. Fizz, the Joja employee NPC, will sell you 1% perfection per 500,000 gold. Buying all the way to 100% would cost a brisk 50,000,000 gold, which is its own form of grinding. Fizz only shows up after the main story is complete and Ginger Island is unlocked.

Ship One of Every Item

The Shipping Bin next to your farmhouse is where you drop items to sell overnight. For perfection, every item on the Items Shipped tab needs to pass through it at least once. Crops, foraged goods, animal products, artisan goods, monster drops and minerals all count. Here is the full list:

Max Friendship With Every Eligible NPC

Every dateable NPC caps at eight hearts unless they are your spouse (and then twelve), but for perfection you need ten hearts with every villager except dateable ones, who need eight. The townsfolk you must befriend split into two groups.

Gifts are the fastest path. Each NPC has loved gifts that grant the biggest friendship swing, plus dialogue choices in cutscenes that nudge the bar up or down. Avoid hated gifts unless you enjoy starting over.

Place the Gold Clock on the Farm

The Gold Clock is a farm building that stops debris from spawning and prevents fences from decaying. It is also the single most expensive purchase in the game at 10,000,000 gold pieces.

You buy it from the Wizard at the Wizard's Tower after finishing the Goblin Problem quest. Once placed, the +10% lands on your perfection score immediately.

Update 1.6.6 added a useful toggle: you can now switch the Gold Clock's effects on and off, which helps if you actually wanted those fences to age naturally.

Clear Every Monster Eradication Goal

Set your hoe down for a while and pick up a sword. The Adventurer's Guild sits east of the Mines. Interact with the wall next to Marlon's desk to see every active monster goal. Finishing all of them is worth +10% perfection.

• Defeat 1000 Slimes of any color (except Big Slimes and Slimes in the Slime Hutch).
• Defeat 150 Void Spirits (Shadow Shamans, Shadow Brutes, Shadow Snipers).
• Defeat 200 Bats (Bats, Frost Bats, Lava Bats, Iridium Bats).
• Defeat 50 Skeletons (Skeletons and Skeleton Mages).
• Defeat 80 Cave Insects (Bugs, Cave Flies, Grubs, Mutant Flies, Mutant Grubs, Armored Bugs).
• Defeat 30 Duggies (Duggies and Magma Duggies).
• Defeat 500 Dust Sprites.
• Defeat 60 Rock Crabs (Rock Crabs, Lava Crabs, Iridium Crabs).
• Defeat 100 Mummies.
• Defeat 50 Pepper Rexes.

Collect Every Stardrop

Stardrops are consumables that permanently raise your maximum energy by 34 each. There are seven scattered across the game world, and you need all of them.

• Buy one at the Stardew Valley Fair for 2,000 Star Tokens.
• Open the treasure chest on Floor 100 of the Mines.
• Reach 12.5 hearts with your spouse.
• Buy one from Krobus in the Sewers for 20,000 gold.
• Give a Sweet Gem Berry to Old Master Cannoli in the Secret Woods.
• Earn the Master Angler achievement (catch every fish) and check the mail for a letter from Willy.
• Donate all 95 requested items to the Museum.

The spouse Stardrop is the one that catches people off guard. You need above twelve hearts, which only opens up after marriage and a few quiet weeks of consistent gifts.

Cook Every Recipe

Vanilla Stardew Valley 1.6 has 81 recipes. The game does not give you a built in tracker for cooked dishes, which is annoying. You can use community mods for that, or just work down this list with a notebook:

Track Down Every Golden Walnut

Golden Walnuts work as a special currency on Ginger Island, used to trade for boats, dungeons and Walnut Room access. There are 130 in total, and you need 100 just to enter Qi's Walnut Room to begin tracking perfection. Hitting all 130 nets the +5%.

Build All Four Obelisks

Obelisks act like permanent warp totems. Once placed on your farm, they teleport you to a fixed destination without consuming a single resource on use. You purchase each one from the Wizard at the Wizard's Tower.

• Desert Obelisk: 20x Iridium Bar, 10x Coconut, 10x Cactus Fruit, 1,000,000 gold pieces.
• Earth Obelisk: 10x Iridium Bar, 10x Earth Crystal, 500,000 gold pieces.
• Island Obelisk: 10x Banana, 10x Dragon Tooth, 10x Iridium Bar, 1,000,000 gold pieces.
• Water Obelisk: 5x Iridium Bar, 10x Clam, 10x Coral, 500,000 gold pieces.

All four together cost 3,000,000 gold plus the materials, so most players build them after the Gold Clock has eaten the first 10,000,000 of the late game savings.

A Realistic Path to Perfection

The smartest order is usually: skills first (they level up naturally during everything else), shipping and friendships across years one and two, Stardrops and Walnuts on a steady schedule, then the heavy lifts (cooking, crafting, monster goals, Gold Clock, Obelisks) once your farm income is comfortable. Fishing tends to be the last holdout for most players, especially the legendary fish that demand specific seasons and weather.

Once the score reads 100%, head back to Mr. Qi for confirmation. Then put on the Statue of True Perfection, read Grandpa's new note, and decide whether to start a new save or finally take a break.
