If you have ever stared at a Creep blocking your cave entrance and thought your current outfit looked a bit too casual, Sons of the Forest has a solution. Tech Armor is the strongest defensive gear in the game, outclassing Creep Armor and giving you a real fighting chance when night gets crowded.
The catch is that a full set takes ten pieces, and each piece needs its own little shopping list of materials. Below is the cleanest path to build it, plus where to find every component on the map.
Before you start running across the peninsula, here is what one piece of Tech Armor costs:
Multiply that by ten if you want the full set. That is the part people tend to underestimate, especially with the Tech Mesh, so plan your trips accordingly.

Tech Mesh is by far the slowest component to farm. Each one is printed at a 3D Printer using 250 resin, which means a full ten-piece set demands roughly 2,500 resin. Yes, really.
There are three 3D Printers scattered across the island:
For the resin itself, you will be raiding the underground bunkers across the island. The Shovel is mandatory here too, since the bunker hatches will not open without it. Pack snacks, this one is a project.

These are much friendlier to farm. Smash any technological clutter you find lying around, things like radios, laptops and similar electronics, and Circuit Boards will pop out. Abandoned buildings and camp sites tend to be reliable sources.

Duct Tape is the survival staple of every video game, and Sons of the Forest is no exception. You can pull it out of Cases scattered across the world, with Abandoned Camps being the densest spots. Sweep through any camp you cross and you will likely end your visit with multiple rolls.

For Wire, head to the southern river bank on the western side of the map. There you will find a cave entrance that leads into a bunker. Inside, Wire is fairly easy to spot, and the same location holds other useful loot such as the Track Suit. It is a strong stop to combine with your resin runs.

Batteries are everywhere if you know where to look. They appear inside storage containers throughout the map, and you can also loot them from defeated enemies. Some of the deeper underground bunkers stock them as well, which fits nicely with your resin and 3D printer detours.
Short answer: yes. Even after the entire farming marathon, Tech Armor still degrades. Large groups of enemies will chip away at it quickly, and a few solid hits from the tougher mutants can knock individual pieces out of commission.
That said, it remains the best protective gear in Sons of the Forest, and arguably the best-looking. Just treat it like a renewable resource: build a stockpile of Tech Mesh, Circuit Boards, Duct Tape, Wire and Batteries so replacing broken pieces is not a six-hour expedition every time.
