The Red Mask is one of the more useful gadgets in Sons of the Forest. Slip it on under the right conditions and low-tier cannibals will leave you alone, which is incredibly handy when you would rather loot a camp than fight through one. Here is how to print the mask and how to actually make it work in the field.
The Red Mask is not dropped, found, or traded by friendly woodland villagers. You print it. To get one you need:
Printing Resin appears inside supply crates and the various bunkers scattered around the map, so keep an eye out whenever you crack one open. Once you have enough resin, the 3D Printer handles the rest.

The 3D Printer is not craftable, so you cannot put one together at your base. It lives in a few specific spots and you have to physically travel to one. There are currently three known printer locations, two of which require the Shovel.
This one is the gentlest introduction to bunker printing. Open your GPS and look for a green pulsing marker on the western side of the map. When you arrive, you will spot a rundown, overgrown golf cart parked outside what looks like a perfectly ordinary cave. Head inside, follow the tunnel, and the printer is waiting in one of the small bunker rooms. No tools required.
The second printer is roughly north of the first, on the right side of a river that runs between the snowy mountain and the northern beach. The entrance is buried, so bring the Shovel. Walk around the marker, find the dirt pile, and dig until the bunker opens up. From there, step inside and locate the printer. This site is also handy if you want to print Tech Armor while you are there.
The last known printer sits in the southwestern corner of the map, again marked by a green pulse between the snowy mountain and the edge of the map. Same routine as Printer 2. Bring the Shovel, dig out the buried entrance, and follow it down into the bunker. The printer is inside.

Once the printer hands you your bright red disguise, you can equip it like any other piece of gear. The mask makes low-tier cannibals overlook you, letting you wander through camps and pick up loot, including the newer cooking pots, without getting mobbed. That is the dream scenario.
In practice, the mask comes with a list of conditions:
Used properly, the Red Mask turns a hostile camp into an easy looting run. Used carelessly, it is an expensive cosmetic that does not match your shoes.
