The third major content drop for Smalland is here. Pack your Smallfolk Vanguard for a sun-scorched expanse called the Amber Valleys, and check the breakdown below for what changes in this patch.
Following the Forbidden Monuments patch, the Amber Valleys expand the world map with a desert region. Two new faces wait for you there: Granger, a solitary rancher, and Sarnak, the Aetherin Priestess.
The golden sands are not friendly. Expect fresh tarantula variants, organized Aetherin squadrons, and roaming beetle herds. A new Scorpion creature stalks the dunes too, and once you survive the introduction, you can tame one and use it as a battle mount.
The sky is no longer a safe shortcut either. Anti-air defense towers cover the airspace and will fire on anything that flies over, your Blue Tit mount included. Plan your routes carefully.
The patch hands you a few new tools to even the odds:
The latest patch introduces a five-tier rarity system. Weapons and armor can be upgraded to push their damage, durability, and resistance further. The tiers, from lowest to highest:
Higher-tier pieces represent a real progression step rather than a cosmetic relabel.

Smaller extras round out the update:
Between the new biome, the gear overhaul, and a rideable scorpion, the Amber Valleys give you plenty of reasons to load back in.
