If you plan to push deep into RuneScape: Dragonwilds and eventually take a swing at Velgar, the game's current end boss, you will spend a fair chunk of time hoarding materials. Padded Cloth sits in that mid-tier bracket that unlocks a long stack of armor recipes, so it is worth knowing how to produce it on demand. Here is the quick rundown on crafting Padded Cloth and what you can actually build with it.

Padded Cloth is made exclusively at the Loom, so the workstation comes first. Building one calls for 22x Ash Plank, 4x Bronze Bar, and 6x Wool Thread. Drop it somewhere convenient near your other crafting stations, then interact with it to open the menu. Each piece of Padded Cloth costs 1x Rough Cloth plus 1x Wool Cloth, a tidy 1:1:1 ratio that makes batch planning painless.
If you are gearing up for a full armor set, stockpile Wool Cloth and Rough Cloth in advance. Padded Cloth is rarely needed by itself, so producing 20 or 30 in a single sitting saves you from running back to the Loom mid-build.

As of the Early Access build, 21 recipes in RuneScape: Dragonwilds rely on Padded Cloth. A few are simple build pieces and storage, but the bulk are mage robes, paladin plate, studded leather, and wild archer kits that carry you into the harder zones.
Notice how every armor recipe also asks for Hard Leather and at least one Vault Shard, so those two bottlenecks usually decide your pace more than Padded Cloth itself. Plan your farming runs around them and the Loom queue will keep up without trouble.
