RuneScape: Dragonwilds Default Controls Reference (Keyboard, Mouse, and Xbox Controller)

Other Games·March 31, 2026·23 min read

Stepping into Ashenfall without knowing the controls is a quick way to find out what the respawn screen looks like. This reference lists the default keybinds for both keyboard and mouse setups and Xbox-style controllers, grouped by what you are actually doing in game: moving, fighting, looting, building, and talking your way through quests.

Everything below can be remapped from the in-game settings, so treat the layout as a starting point rather than a contract. Players coming from other survival or RPG titles will usually want to tweak combat keys and the hotbar first to match existing muscle memory.

Keyboard and Mouse Layout

The PC scheme uses standard WASD movement with most utility actions sitting under the left hand. The mouse handles combat and a couple of building shortcuts.

Remapping Priorities

Once you have a few hours in, the keys most worth revisiting are the combat actions, the evade button, and the quick-access hotbar. Players running heavy spell rotations tend to move the spells menu off Q, and anyone building serious bases usually wants free placement and repair on something closer to the main hand. The defaults above stay handy as a reference if you ever need to roll back your custom layout.
