RimWorld Dev Mode and Cheat Commands: Full Console Reference

Activating cheats in RimWorld is less painful than in most games. There is no console syntax to memorize and no mods required. You flip a single switch in the menu and a debug toolbar pops up at the top of the screen. From there you can spawn raids, recruit prisoners on the spot, finish all research, or wipe a map and start over without ever leaving your colony.

This reference covers how to enable Development Mode and lists every command available under each tab.

Turning On Developer Mode

Open the in-game menu (default key is Escape), go to the General tab, and toggle Development Mode on. A debug toolbar appears at the top of the screen exposing every action, setting, and inspector the game has, God Mode included.

Heads up: God Mode here does not make colonists invincible or max out their stats. It only grants additional controls so you can tweak individual pawns and the world around them.

Full Console Command List

Commands work in single-player and multiplayer scenarios. Clicking most entries opens a second window with finer controls, so you can pick exactly what to spawn, change, or break.

Actions / Tools

The Actions tab is where colony management turns into colony engineering. You can add or remove items, trigger weather, force events, and reshape almost anything on the map.

Output

The Output tab is not really commands. These entries print reports about the current save: trader stock values, biome animal spawn chances, raid sampling, quest weights, and a long list of debug readouts. Useful when you want to understand what the RNG is actually doing.
