Icarus missions, also called prospects, are the main objectives players complete to move forward. They can ask you to build an outpost, recover equipment, scan dangerous areas, hunt predators, or haul supplies across the map. Some are quick. Some are less “quick” and more “why is everything trying to eat me?”

Each prospect belongs to a mission tree. To unlock a later mission, players usually need to finish the required prospect before it. Mission progress is account-bound, so progress applies across the whole account rather than being locked to one character.
Prospects are also grouped by geographic region. You do not need to clear every mission in one region before missions in other areas can become available.
Every mission has a recommended level, but that level is guidance rather than a hard requirement. Players can attempt a prospect earlier if they want the challenge.

Construction prospects focus on building structures or work areas at specific locations. Travel can be risky, so bring tools, supplies, and enough patience for the biome to be rude.

Expedition missions send Prospectors into dangerous regions to recover items, deploy tools, or open routes.
- Objective: Recover three device components for Lagos, then assemble a sheltered Disruptor above ground in the Glacier Arctic region.

Extermination prospects ask players to track and defeat powerful predators. Completing one also awards a unique medal in addition to currency.

Survey missions usually involve placing Geo-Stations or beacons. Deploying equipment can attract predators, so prepare to defend the area.
