Hosting V Rising servers can be a lot of fun with friends or other players, but sometimes owners want more control. For example, using admin commands to teleport players, manage the server, or enforce rules. In this guide, we will show you how to set up admins on your V Rising server.
How to Become an Admin
1. Head to SteamID IO and enter your Steam username in the search field.
- This will return basic information, but copy the SteamID64 values for later use.
2. Once copied, go to your HolyHosting server panel and click on Customizations in the upper left.
3. Locate the Admin List option under Server Settings, then paste your SteamID64 in the field.
- Note: If there are more IDs, paste them separated by commas and spaces.
4. Afterward, go back to the main panel and click Restart to apply the changes.
5. Join the server when it loads, then open Options and go to General in the menu.
6. Make sure the "Console Enabled" option is turned on, then exit the menu and press the Tilde (~) key on your keyboard to open the console.
7. Enter "adminauth" in the text box, as this will make you an administrator.
- This should return a confirmation message in the chat, which means you are done!
Admin Commands
Now that you are a server administrator, you can use commands. There are many to choose from, but we will review the most important ones to get started. If you are curious about all other commands, check the V Rising Console Wiki for a full list.

Common Issues
1. Cannot Join the Server:
- Make sure to use the correct password. By default, the password is "Change_Me" and can be changed in the Server Password section on the main panel. If you use the correct one and it does not work, try restarting the server.
2. Cannot Become an Admin:
- Sometimes, not being able to make a player an administrator is due to an incorrect SteamID64 string or it not being applied correctly. Check the Admin List in Customizations and make sure the ID is correct.
3. Commands Not Working:
- A common issue when running commands is incorrect parameter usage. Visit the V Rising Console Wiki to learn about each command's usage. Additionally, it may be helpful to do research on the specific command you are trying to use.
