How to Build and Use the Furnace in Last Oasis

Crafting in Last Oasis eventually leads to stations that process key resources. The Basic Furnace is one of them, turning simple inputs into Charcoal, Tar, and Ceramic Shards.

Unlocking the Basic Furnace

The Basic Furnace is a Tier 3 crafting station and is separate from the Advanced Furnace. Unlock it with three tablets of any type.

The description may say it must be placed on a Walker, but the Furnace can also sit directly on the ground. Helpful, because not every crafting setup needs wheels.

Furnace Crafting Materials

After unlocking it, build the Furnace with:

• 85x Stone
• 25x Wood Shaft
• 20x Clay
• 14x Fiber Weave
• 25x Earth Wax

Stone is common across the Last Oasis map. Wood Shafts and Fiber Weaves usually come from defeating Rupus, though Fiber Weave can also be gathered by breaking pots in Rupu villages.

For Clay, use a Soil Excavator on Clay deposit areas. Earth Wax is made from Mushroom Flesh at the Stomping Station.

Note: The modkit can help bypass some crafting and Furnace-use restrictions.

Every Basic Furnace Recipe

The Furnace only creates the right output when supplied with the matching material:

• Charcoal: Wood
• Tar: Earth Wax
• Ceramic Shard: Clay

Each item also needs the correct fuel amount:

• Charcoal, 10 minutes: 300x Wood, 30x Charcoal, 10x Liquid Fuel, or 5x Rupu Gel
• Tar, 44 minutes: 1,320x Wood, 132x Charcoal, 44x Liquid Fuel, or 27x Rupu Gel
• Ceramic Shard, 24 minutes: 700x Wood, 75x Charcoal, 25x Liquid Fuel, and 17x Rupu Gel
