When you own a Rust server, moderation is one of the most important aspects. When a player breaks the rules, sometimes it’s necessary to issue a ban to prevent them from joining the server. Rust is no exception, as you may encounter cheaters or disruptive behavior, which requires taking action. With Holy Hosting, players can be banned directly from the server panel. Here’s how to do it.

Ban by SteamID
Go to the SteamID.io website and search for the player’s Steam profile.
Copy the SteamID64 number from the page.
Access your HolyHosting server panel and click the Console tab on the left.
To ban a player, use the following command:
banid [SteamID] [Username] "[Reason]"
Example: banid 76561198669700921 StuffyMC "guide"

Ban by Username
Access your HolyHosting server panel and click the Console tab on the left.
To ban a player by username, use this command:
ban [Username] "[Reason]"
Example: ban StuffyMC guide

Check the Ban List
To verify your current bans, enter the following command:
banlistex:

Unban Players
Unbanning a player is just as easy. Use the command:
unban [SteamID64]
Example: unban 76561198169700921
