Other Games·May 8, 2025·12 min read

Farming Simulator 25 update 1.8 is a substantial patch with performance work, bug fixes, new machines, and support for Precision Farming 3.0. If your farm uses mods or custom graphics settings, expect some short-term shader stutter after updating.

What Update 1.8 Adds

Update 1.8 targets smoother gameplay across platforms. The official changelog also notes that stuttering can happen right after the update, especially with mods or custom graphics settings, because shaders need to be recompiled. Annoying, yes. Broken, no.

Precision Farming 3.0

The headline addition is Precision Farming 3.0, available free through ModHub. The modpack was popular in Farming Simulator 19 and Farming Simulator 22, and now it supports Farming Simulator 25.

New Precision Farming 3.0 features include:

  • Tramlines: Drive machines over consistent paths for cleaner field work.
  • Subsidies: Earn in-game subsidies by planting more eco-friendly crops.
  • PWM: Pulse Width Modulation sprayers allow nozzle output adjustments while working.
  • Automatic Section Control: Machines can disable individual sections to reduce overspraying.

Returning features include Soil Types, Soil Sampling, Variable Rate Seeding, Environmental Score, and other systems from earlier Precision Farming releases.
