Other Games·September 27, 2024·9 min read

Farming Simulator 25 expands the series with new locations, crops, animals, equipment, selling options, and weather hazards. It keeps the familiar farm-building loop, but adds more ways for fields, livestock, and machinery to demand your attention.

Farming Simulator 25 Release Date

Farming Simulator 25 released on November 12, 2024, according to the game's Steam page. It launched for Windows PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X systems.

New Farming Simulator 25 Features

Farming Simulator 25 adds several major features and content categories, from new maps to weather effects that can damage crops if players are not prepared.

New Maps

Farming Simulator 25 introduced Riverbend Springs, a map built around a large winding river. It includes easy water access and historic structures such as an old grain elevator and rustic paper mill.

The Hutan Pantai map was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2024. This East Asian map includes a town with neon-lit buildings at night, plus a mix of flat and hilly terrain for farming.

New Crops

Spinach is one of Farming Simulator 25's new crops. It can be harvested twice per sowing and has a 3-month growth duration, making it useful for players who want faster crop income.

Farmers can also grow rice, adding another crop type to plan around.

New Animals

Farming Simulator 25 adds goats and water buffalo. Both animals can produce new milk types, which can then be used as ingredients for cheese.

Selling Your Own Produce

Instead of always traveling to merchants to sell harvested goods, players can use the new Small Farmer's Kiosk. This gives farms another way to vend their own produce.

New Machines

Farming Simulator 25 expands its list of usable machines. Examples include the Brantner TR 34090/2 PT+, Merlo MF44.9CS-170-CVTRONIC, OXBO MKB-4TR, and FARMTECH EDK-650.

The MacDon Pack also adds MacDon machines such as the M1240, D 140 XL, and R216 SP.

New Weather Conditions

Farming Simulator 25 introduces new weather challenges. Dark clouds can signal incoming hailstorms, while stormy seasons may include light hurricanes and twisters. These conditions can damage crops if fields are not prepared.

Players can disable harsh weather effects in the options menu.
