Kinlaig is the Scottish Highlands map included with the Highlands Fishing Expansion Pack. It combines green hills, coastal industry, village architecture, castles, ruins, and a few mysteries tucked where a normal farmer might not think to look.

Kinlaig Map Overview

Kinlaig is built around the meeting point between farmland and sea. Players can grow an agricultural business across the rolling terrain, work near the port, or wander through old stone landmarks that give the map its historical feel.

The region uses rugged hills, old village houses, castle walls, shipwreck hints, and stone circles to give exploration more purpose between jobs. It is still a working farm map, but the surroundings make it feel less like empty acreage and more like a place with history under the mud.

Like other Farming Simulator 25 maps, Kinlaig includes collectibles. Here, the collectibles are messages in bottles. Finding all of them fills out a lost story in a ledger kept in the town's castle, which is a more dignified reward than simply realizing you have spent an hour staring behind rocks.

Kinlaig Productions

Kinlaig contains 12 Production facilities. Most can be purchased directly, but the Windmill is different: players must buy the land and complete it through a Construction Project. The production list also reflects the expansion's mix of fishing, stonework, standard farming, and crafting.

Kinlaig Selling Points

Kinlaig has 26 selling points, ranging from fish market-style harbor locations to smaller village shops. The Castle can also become a selling point after players complete its Construction Project, giving the map another late-game delivery target and a practical reason to finish the landmark.

Construction Projects

The Windmill becomes a working production line once finished. After buying the Windmill land, deliver the following materials to complete the project:

10,000x Wood Beams
13,000x Long Planks
1,000x Rope
4,000x Fabric

The Castle is Kinlaig's other construction project. Unlike the Windmill, it does not require players to purchase the land first. Once built, it turns into a selling point where goods can be delivered for extra income. Its material list is much heavier than the Windmill's, so expect it to be a longer project rather than a quick afternoon errand.
