Farming Simulator 22 Cheats: Money, Console Commands, and Platform Exploits

Other Games·May 1, 2024·16 min read

Farming Simulator 22 rewards patience, planning, and a healthy tolerance for slow financial growth. If you would rather skip part of that grind, the game has several cheats and exploits that can make farming easier, especially on PC.

This guide covers PC console cheats, the save-file money method, and the console-friendly money exploit.

Farming Simulator 22 Cheats Overview

Most true cheats in Farming Simulator 22 are only available on PC because they require the command console. Console players cannot normally open that console, but they can still use an exploit involving multiplayer farms to increase money.

Use cheats carefully. They can remove much of the challenge, and editing save files always carries a risk if you change the wrong value.

PC Console Cheats

Before using cheat commands, you need access to the Farming Simulator 22 command console. Once it is enabled, press ~ or ` in-game to open it.

The following commands can then be entered:

  • gsPlayerFlightMode: Activates flight mode. Use Q and E to change altitude.
  • gsMoneyAdd: Adds 10,000 money. You can also use gsMoneyAdd <amount> to choose a specific amount.
  • gsTeleport: Teleports to a field or x/z position.
  • gsFillUnitAdd <fillUnitIndex> <fillTypeName> [amount]: Fills the selected unit.
  • gsTimeSet <hour>: Sets the time.
  • gsBaleAdd fillTypeName isRoundBale [width] [height/diameter] [length] [wrapState] [modName]: Spawns a bale in front of you.
  • gsPalletAdd <type>: Adds a pallet.
  • gsFarmSet: Sets the farm for the current player or vehicle.
  • gsFarmlandBuy: Buys farmland by ID.
  • gsFarmlandBuyAll: Buys all farmlands.
  • gsFarmlandSell: Sells farmland by ID.
  • gsFarmlandSellAll: Sells all farmlands.
  • gsFieldSetFruit: Sets a fruit type for a field.
  • gsFieldSetFruitAll: Sets a fruit type for all fields.
  • gsFieldSetGround: Sets ground state for a field.
  • gsFieldSetGroundAll: Sets ground state for all fields.

For gsPalletAdd, available pallet types include Butter, Lettuce, Cake, Bread, Silage_Additive, Fertilizer, Wool, Liquidfertilizer, Mineral_Feed, Wheat, Oat, Olive, Sugar, Soybean, Herbicide, Lime, Oilseedradish, Barley, Furniture, Boards, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cereal, Canola_Oil, Grapejuice, Sunflower_Oil, Raisins, Olive_Oil, Honey, Maize, Seeds, Grape, Canola, Flour, Clothes, Cotton, Fabric, Sunflower, Sorghum, Potato, Sugarcane, Egg, Cheese, and Tomato.

These commands are case-sensitive. Some mods can also add or expose more cheat options.

PC Money Cheat Through Console

The quickest PC money cheat is gsMoneyAdd. Open the console and enter the command by itself to add 10,000 money, or add an amount after the command if you want a larger increase.

Example format:

  • gsMoneyAdd <amount>

This is the cleanest method if the console is already enabled.

PC Money Cheat Through Save Editing

You can also change money directly in your save file. Before editing anything, make a backup of the save folder. One bad edit can break a save, and nobody wants to lose a farm because of one extra zero in the wrong place.

Follow these steps:

  1. Find your Farming Simulator 22 save folder. The default path is *C:\Users\User Name\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2022*.
  2. Open the save folder you want to edit, such as savegame1 or savegame2.
  3. Open farms.xml with a text editor such as Notepad.
  4. Find the farm entry that includes a money value, such as <farm farmId="1" name="My farm" color="1" loan="0.000000" money="100.000" loanAnnualInterestRate="200.000000">.
  5. Change the number after money=.
  6. Save the file.
  7. Launch the game, load the save, and confirm the new value appears.

Only edit the money value unless you know exactly what the other fields do.

Console Money Exploit

The command console is not normally available on console versions of Farming Simulator 22. However, console players can still increase money by using a multiplayer farm merge exploit.

Steps:

  1. Launch the game and start or load a save.
  2. Save the game, then quit to the main menu.
  3. Start a multiplayer game and host it using that same saved game.
  4. Create as many multiplayer farms as possible.
  5. Save and leave the multiplayer game.
  6. Return to the single-player save.
  7. When prompted, accept the merge of all multiplayer farms into the single-player save.
  8. Save the game and repeat if desired.

The game warns that merging farms is irreversible, but the exploit can be repeated. Higher difficulty saves receive more money from creating multiplayer farms than lower difficulty saves.

This same exploit also works on PC.
