Counter-Strike 2 changed how weekly rewards work. Instead of simply waiting for random drops, players now interact with the Weekly Care Package, a reward system tied to XP Rank progress.

The CS2 Weekly Care Package is a weekly reward selection system. When you earn your first XP Rank of the week, CS2 shows four available loot options and lets you choose two of them.
If you earn a second XP Rank during that same week, you can claim the two remaining rewards. The selection refreshes the next time you earn your first XP Rank after the weekly reset.

To collect every item from a Weekly Care Package, you need to gain two XP Ranks before the weekly reset. XP is earned by playing CS2, whether solo or with friends, so the process is mostly about putting in enough matches.
After enough XP is earned, your rank increases and CS2 prompts you to choose rewards. The first rank-up gives two picks from four items. The second rank-up gives access to the remaining two.
The weekly reset usually happens on Tuesday around 5 to 6 PM PT. Any unclaimed rewards from that week disappear after the reset. The void does not issue refunds, sadly.

Before your first XP Rank of the week, the current Weekly Care Package rewards are hidden. Once the first reward choice appears, players can commonly expect options such as weapon skins, sprays, and cases.
Cases are often the most valuable option on the Steam Community Market, so many players pick them first. Still, the best choice depends on what you want from the reward pool.
After the first two rewards are claimed, you can preview the silhouettes of the remaining items by opening Store at the top of the screen. The Weekly Care Package appears first under the store's Home tab.
