Food in Craftopia does more than refill hunger. Meals can restore health and mana, raise maximum stats, improve attack or magic attack, and keep stamina from becoming the real final boss. Starvation no longer kills by itself after Patch v20200911.0119, but it still causes damage over time, so staying fed is not optional for long.

Craftopia's world has many ingredient sources, from crops and fish to animal products, herbs, and gathered plants. Recipes require specific materials, so throwing random food into a pot and hoping for a legendary dinner is not a strategy. It is just soup with ambition.
