Food matters in Craftopia because hunger can become a steady problem if ignored. Starvation causes damage over time, and cooked meals can also provide useful buffs for combat, exploration, or survival. A good kitchen setup is less glamorous than a giant weapon, but it keeps the giant weapon user alive.

Cooking usually requires two things: ingredients and a cooking facility. Ingredients can be gathered throughout the world. Wild Berries grow on certain bushes, while containers and other sources can provide materials such as Flour.
Once you have ingredients, interact with a cooking station, place the required items inside, and select Craft. After a short wait, the finished food is ready.
Ingredients can also carry special properties. When those properties transfer through cooking, the finished meal can gain enchantment-style bonuses. These bonuses can matter before hard fights, so do not treat every meal as plain hunger filler.

Craftopia has several cooking facilities, and each one fits a different stage of progression. Early tools are simple but limited. Later stations allow better recipes or automation.

The Campfire is the first cooking station most players build. It only requires:
Its main limitation is ingredient capacity. You can place only one ingredient at a time, so the recipe options are narrow. Even with that restriction, a Campfire is valuable while exploring because it is cheap and easy to replace.

The Cooking Pot is the next major upgrade. Craft it at a Workbench with:
There is also a Cooking Pot available at the campsite near the starting area. Unlike the Campfire, the Cooking Pot accepts multiple ingredients. For example, combining 1x Sausage and 1x Red Herb creates Sausage with Herbs.
Use the Cooking Pot when you want meals with stronger effects or recipes that require several materials.

The Auto Cooker handles food production automatically. Feed ingredients into it with conveyor belts, and it prepares dishes while you explore, gather, or handle quests elsewhere.
Crafting the Auto Cooker takes more work. First, reach the Improved Workbench. Then craft the Auto Cooker with:
The Auto Cooker is best for bases that already use automation. It saves time, but it still needs a steady ingredient supply. Empty belts make empty dinners, which is a tragic but avoidable engineering failure.
Use a Campfire early or when traveling light. Move to the Cooking Pot for proper recipes and buffs. Build an Auto Cooker once your base has enough resources and automation infrastructure to keep it fed.
