Eco is built around a shared planet where players research technology, write laws, trade goods, and try to stop a meteor without wrecking the ecosystem in the process. A dedicated Eco server turns that simulation into a proper community, with governments, markets, machines, fees, and the occasional argument over who left the waste pile next to the river.
Before you can build a civilization with other players, you need to connect to the server. You can join by using the server IP, searching for the server name in the public browser, or returning through your recent worlds list.
Use this method when you have the full server address and want the most direct route into the game.

If the server uses a password, Eco will ask for it before connecting. After the connection finishes, you can play normally.
The browser is useful if you know the server name but do not want to type the IP address manually.

A password prompt may appear here as well. Enter the password if required, then wait for Eco to finish loading the server.
You can change the server name from the HolyHosting panel under Customizations. Update the server name field, restart the server, and wait for it to come back online. Once it is running again, the new name should appear in the browser search.
After joining once, you do not need to search from scratch every time.
From the main menu, open Your Worlds. This screen shows local worlds, official servers, and recently joined servers. Open the Recent tab to find servers you connected to before, then choose the one you want to rejoin.
You can also select the star beside a server name to add it to your favorites. Favorites make repeat connections easier, especially if you play on several worlds.
Failed to connect, connection timed out: This usually means Eco cannot reach the server. The server may be offline, or the IP address may have been entered incorrectly. Check the HolyHosting panel and confirm the server is online. If needed, restart it and wait a few moments before trying again. Copy the IP address directly from the panel and paste it in-game with Ctrl + V to avoid typos.
Connection failed, invalid password: This means the password entered in Eco does not match the server password. Check for caps lock, extra spaces, and spelling mistakes. If the password still fails, open the Customizations area in the panel, confirm or update the password, restart the server, and try again once it is online.
