ARK Easter EVO 2023 Guide: Dates, Rates, Colors, and Rewards

ARK: Survival Evolved·April 10, 2023·15 min read

Easter arrived in ARK: Survival Evolved with a different format in 2023. Instead of Eggcellent Adventure 8, Studio Wildcard ran the first Easter EVO event, keeping the familiar boosted rates while changing how the seasonal celebration worked.

This guide covers the ARK Easter EVO 2023 schedule, server multipliers, creature colors, and what did not return from earlier Easter events.

ARK Easter EVO 2023 Start and End Dates

The first ARK Easter EVO event began on April 7, 2023, and ended on April 24, 2023. It replaced the expected Eggcellent Adventure 8 event rather than running as another numbered entry in that older series.

The event applied to official servers across each supported platform. Players on those servers received the seasonal rate changes automatically during the event window, so there was no need to enable anything manually unless playing on a private setup.

Easter EVO Rates and Server Bonuses

ARK Easter EVO 2023 focused on boosted progression rather than a big batch of returning Easter cosmetics. The main bonuses were XP, breeding, harvesting, taming, shorter mating intervals, and Hexagon gains depending on server type.

The active rates were:

  • Official Servers: 3x XP, Breeding, Harvesting, and Taming, plus 0.5x Mating Interval and 1.5x Hexagon Bonus
  • Small Tribe Servers: 4.5x XP, Breeding, Harvesting, and Taming, plus 0.5x Mating Interval and 1.5x Hexagon Bonus
  • ARKPocalypse Servers: 5x XP, Breeding, Harvesting, and Taming, plus 0.5x Mating Interval and 1.5x Hexagon Bonus
  • Classic Servers: 6x XP, Breeding, Harvesting, and Taming, plus 0.5x Mating Interval

For breeding projects, taming sessions, and resource runs, those multipliers made the event useful even without the older Eggcellent Adventure reward loop. It was less egg hunt, more productivity sprint, which is very ARK.

Event Colors and Missing Easter Skins

The older Easter skins did not return as standard rewards for this event. That means items such as the Bunny Costume skin were not obtainable through normal official event play. Players who wanted to revisit older Eggcellent Adventure content on private servers could still use the Easter event console parameter, but that was separate from the official Easter EVO setup.

A major part of the 2023 event was expanded creature color variety. Around 25% of creatures could spawn with additional event palettes, including:

What Players Wanted Next

The main disappointment around Easter EVO 2023 was the absence of additional Easter skins or returning rewards from previous Eggcellent Adventure events. Most Easter cosmetics had been introduced in earlier years, especially from the fourth Eggcellent Adventure onward, so some players hoped the new format would still keep that collection alive.

Chibi-Pets were another common wish. Previous events included creatures such as the Chibi-Dilophasaur, Chibi-Purlovia, and Chibi-Queen Bee, so players had reason to expect more seasonal collectibles.

At the time, the new ARK Easter EVO event was available on official servers. Players who wanted to experience older Eggcellent Adventure behavior on private servers could use the console parameter activeevent=Easter, without the quotation marks.
