ARK: Survival Evolved is not only about collecting materials, taming dinosaurs, and discovering that a beach is somehow still dangerous. Bosses are a major part of progression, and Broodmother Lysrix is one of the key fights on The Island and The Center.

Before version 239.0, Broodmother Lysrix could be found in the overworld. After that patch, the boss fight moved to the Broodmother Arena, accessed beneath the green Obelisk.
The arena access points are located at these coordinates:
To open the portal, players must offer specific tribute items. Some requirements change depending on whether the fight is level 30, 50, or 70.
When activated, the portal teleports everything inside its summoning radius into the arena, including the player and nearby creatures.
The Gamma, Beta, and Alpha versions of Broodmother Lysrix have different stats. Gamma and Beta are also slower than the Alpha version.
These are the Broodmother Lysrix stats and growth values on The Island.
Broodmother Lysrix is stronger than the Megapithecus but weaker than the Dragon. It also offers fewer rewards than those bosses. Even so, it is usually the first ARK boss encountered in lore progression, so defeating it still matters.
Tamed creatures make the fight far more manageable. Recommended choices include:
A Procoptodon can also be used for a ranged strategy. Players can jump onto its mushroom and fire at Broodmother Lysrix from range. This approach may not work well against the Alpha version, where the boss is far more punishing.
Broodmother Lysrix can drop these items when defeated:
Defeating the boss also unlocks Tek crafting options. Higher difficulties unlock more recipes.
