Aloft takes the usual survival crafting loop and lifts it into the clouds, with players turning floating islands into livable airships instead of building another square hut on the ground. During early access, that kind of sandbox can change quickly, and the 2025 roadmap shows where developer Astrolabe Interactive Inc. plans to focus next.

Astrolabe Interactive Inc., also known for Sacrifice Your Friends, published an Aloft roadmap announcement for the game's first year in early access. The roadmap does not include exact release dates, so players should treat it as a direction of travel rather than a calendar with alarms attached.
The planned work includes bug fixes, new systems, quality-of-life upgrades, and more content for Sky Sailors to explore. The main roadmap categories are:
The developer also stated that stability and performance work come before major new content. That is not as flashy as a new biome, but it matters. A sky island is much less charming when the frame rate dives first.
Players who run into issues can continue using Aloft's in-game bug report tool. The same tool can also be used for feedback, which may help shape future early access changes before the game reaches full release.
