Hey HolyHosting community! 🌙👾
Today, we’re diving into one of the most exciting ways to crank up the difficulty in your Minecraft experience — the BloodMoon plugin! 🌕💀
If you’ve ever felt like nighttime in Minecraft needed a bit more thrill (or danger!), this plugin is perfect for you. Let’s jump right in and learn how to install it, configure it, and enjoy those terrifying blood moons!

🌕 Overview
Minecraft can get a little spooky when night falls, but if you’re craving an even greater challenge, the BloodMoon plugin for Spigot or Paper servers is the perfect solution. This plugin introduces a special nighttime event where mobs become stronger, more dangerous, and of course, far deadlier. But don’t worry — surviving the night comes with its own rewards! 🎁
🚀 How to Download and Install BloodMoon
Step 1: Download
Head over to the Spigot website and search for the BloodMoon plugin.
Click “Download Now” and save the file somewhere easy to find.

Step 2: Installation
Access your HolyHosting panel and navigate to the “Files” section.
Upload the plugin file to the “plugins” folder and wait for the upload to finish.

Restart your server, and you’re all set! ✅
Use /plugins in-game to check that BloodMoon is installed — it should appear in green if everything’s working correctly.

🌙 How to Survive a Blood Moon 🌙
Every five in-game days, the Blood Moon event will automatically trigger. The world grows darker, the weather turns harsh, and eerie sounds will keep you on edge. During this time, mobs gain extra health, deal more damage, and even have special abilities.
Are you ready for the challenge? ⚔️
🔥 Powerful Mobs and Hordes
During a Blood Moon, get ready to face hordes of tougher mobs with special abilities. Some can strike with lightning, summon fire, or even inflict potion effects.
If you’re looking for an extra challenge, use /bloodmoon spawnhorde [player] to unleash more mobs near a specific player — your friends are going to love that! 😉

👑 Bosses
If you want to raise the stakes, you can enable the EnableZombieBoss option in the settings, or use the command /bloodmoon spawnzombieboss to summon a boss that will make even the bravest player tremble. These bosses are extremely powerful, so get ready for an epic battle.

🏆 Special Loot
Killing mobs during a Blood Moon can reward you with valuable loot like gold ingots, diamonds, and more. But remember — if you die, you lose everything. The risk is totally worth it for the bold! 💎
📜 Useful Commands
/bloodmoon show: Shows the time until the next Blood Moon.
/bloodmoon start: Starts a Blood Moon immediately.
/bloodmoon stop: Stops the current Blood Moon.
/bloodmoon reload: Reloads the plugin to apply any changes.
/bloodmoon spawnzombieboss: Spawns a zombie boss during a Blood Moon.
…and many more!
🛠 Advanced Configuration 🛠
Accessing and tweaking the configuration file lets you customize your Blood Moon experience. You can change the frequency, enable or disable bosses, and much more. If your server has multiple worlds, each can have its own Blood Moon settings.
